.Charles F. Larimer is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, and has over 40 years experience in the health care industry. His clients include employers, managed care organization, hospitals and physician groups.

Combining actuarial science, data science, and epidemiology, he has been studying differences in disease prevalence at the Zip Code level within large metropolitan areas and using this information for Population Health modeling. In 2021 he co-presented “Disparities in Disease Prevalence Based on Racial Differences by Zip Code” at the annual Society of Actuaries Health Meeting based on his studies of disease prevalence. He is working with employers and healthcare coalitions in developing strategies to deal with these identified disparities.

In 2019 he passed the Society of Actuaries Predictive Analytics Certificate course and since then has participated as a grader for the Society of Actuaries Associate Exam on Predictive Analytics.

In 2016-2017 he participated in a study for the American Association of Medical Colleges (AAMC) and the National Association of ACOs (NAACOS) on Population Health, Predictive Analytics, and High Risk Patient Identification. He has furthered his studies in this area by taking epidemiology on-line courses from Johns Hopkins University.

Other recent projects include detailed hospital network cost studies which involve comparing competing hospital networks and finding charge and coding levels by specific network that lead to large overcharges.

He annually creates a detailed client pharmacy study identifying abnormal member pharmacy use and prescriber aberrations for controlled substances.

He also is aligned with and assists other actuarial firms, including The Terry Group and Validate Health.
